Dating, Anatomy, and 3D/4D Ultrasounds
We offer in-office ultrasounds that include dating ultrasounds, detailed anatomical ultrasounds, as well as 3D/4D ultrasounds. We have 4 extremely experienced sonographers. Our Ultrasound rooms have televisions that allow for patients and their families to follow along with the ultrasonographers during their ultrasound. Our early OB ultrasounds allow for the most accurate dating of your pregnancy.
Our anatomy ultrasounds that are performed between 18-22 weeks allow for detailed measurements of all of the developing organs of the baby. We also offer 3D/4D ultrasounds in the third trimester that allow for amazing pictures!
Ultrasounds at Arrowhead Women’s Center
At Arrowhead Women’s Center, we provide our patients with a variety of technological options to view and evaluate each stage of pregnancy. Ultrasounds allow for parents and physicians to see a baby during points of each trimester.
Our Arrowhead Women’s Center offers both 3D and 4D ultrasounds for women during pregnancy. 3D Ultrasounds
A 3D ultrasound creates a three-dimensional image that allows both patient and physician to see the baby in more depth than with a two-dimensional image. The baby’s skin, limbs, and organs are visible and can be seen with 3-D ultrasound. This technology complements the two-dimensional images and can offer your Arrowhead Women’s Center physician more information about the health of your baby.
A 3D Ultrasound can also be used to better predict the sex of a baby. While two-dimensional technology has been more accurate than ever before, 3D imaging allows for additional angles and views to be taken into account for a better prediction of a child’s sex.
4D Ultrasounds
A 4D ultrasound is very similar to a 3D ultrasound, except for one key element—movement. With a 4D ultrasound, you have the ability to see the movement of an unborn baby and can view smiling, kicking, or even yawning.
This view gives expectant mothers an even closer look at their child and can be a positive bonding experience for mothers and families with a new child.
